Gauhati University B.Ed Entrance (GUBEDCET 2024)
GUBEDCET 2024:
- Total Number of Questions: 100
- Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Total Marks: 400
- Test Duration: 120 minutes
Other Details:
- All questions will be MCQ type with four choices, only one of which will be the correct option.
- The GUBEDCET Test Booklet and the OMR will be in English. The test will be OMR-based.
- For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded. For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
- The merit list will be prepared based solely on marks obtained in GUBEDCET-2024. In case of a tie, i.e., when two or more candidates obtain equal marks, the inter-se merit of such candidates shall be decided as follows: Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks to negative marks. The candidate with the higher absolute ratio value will be given a better rank. Resolution by the number of unanswered questions. The candidate with fewer unanswered questions will be given a better rank. If the resolution is still not possible, the candidate with the higher age will be given a better rank.
- Eligibility Qualification will be verified by the respective colleges/institutions before admission. A candidate cannot claim a seat without fulfilling the eligibility criteria of NCTE even if their name appears in the merit list prepared by Gauhati University. The college/institution will be responsible for any anomalies detected later on.
Application and Entrance Examination Fee: Rs.1500 (plus any applicable bank transaction charges). - The university authority will decide any issues not covered by these guidelines at the appropriate level.
